Kent-Frankland sub-region |

The Kent-Frankland sub-region takes in the towns of Rocky Gully, Frankland, Cranbrook, Tambellup, Walpole and Broomehill. It contains the high rainfall, forested catchments flowing into the Nornalup and Irwin Inlets, with rainfall dropping off from in excess of 1200mm per annum at Walpole in the south, to about 450mm per annum at Broomehill in the north |

Oyster Harbour Catchment Group was established in 1992 as a community landcare group, with the aim of protecting and rehabilitating the Kalgan River System and became an incorporated body in 1994. The purpose of the group being to coordinate and facilitate natural resource management to all stakeholders in the Oyster Harbour Catchment including land managers, the urban and peri-urban community, local government and government agencies. |

This group has a strong focus on farming, with major projects on the protection of remnant vegetation and tree planting, environmental management systems, as well as running field days to promote farming innovations. They are also a parent organisation with the FBG of the Fitzgerald Biosphere Marketing Association (FBMA). |

Fitzgerald Biosphere Group (FBG) |

The Fitzgerald Biosphere sub-region is the largest of the six sub-regions centres on the Fitzgerald River National Park which has been recognised internationally since 1978 as part of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Program for its floral diversity. Its boundary is based on the biosphere reserve boundary and contains the towns of Bremer Bay, Jerramungup, Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun. It takes in part of the Pallinup River catchment and all of the Bremer, Gairdner, Fitzgerald, Hamersley, West, Phillips, Steer and Jerdacuttup River catchments. Rainfall ranges from 500mm per annum in the south and declines to 325mm per annum in the north east. |

Albany Eastern Hinterland |

The Albany Hinterland sub-region takes in the towns of Denmark, Albany, Mount Barker, Mount Manypeaks and Wellstead. It contains all of the Denmark, Hay and Kalgan River catchments flowing south from the Stirling Range and discharging into the Wilson Inlet and Oyster Harbour. Rainfall ranges from 1200mm per annum near Denmark in the south west to 450mm per annum over the Stirling Ranges in the northern area of the sub-region. |
